It has been accounted that it is best practice to use “Wait” actions when sending automated emails in ActiveCampaign. These actions work like “breathers” in the automation process. It gives your clients enough time to open and go through your email before the automation fires another action. This action is also very useful if your automation has more than one “Send Email” action or if it has branching algorithms.
CSS Debugging and Optimization using CSSO
To keep things simple, CSSO is a minification tool or technique that makes your cascading stylesheets compact. This in turn will provide faster load times for your website. When a css file is subject to CSSO, extra line-breaks, spaces, semicolons, and other un-needed characters are removed to compress the file size. For example, a css file with 200 bytes of file size will be slower compared to one with a file size of 98 bytes.
QA Steps before launching your online course
Before making your online course live, we recommend following these simple steps. We know that no website is perfect, it will always have flaws or space for improvement, but doing these simple quality checks will bring it close.
-Proofread your course. Ask someone to do it as well.
-Cross check your website using different mobile phones and browsers.
-Do a test registration, check your workflow and your email automations.
-Follow the Dee-Dee syndrome, “What does this button do?” and click all the buttons.
New Guidelines from Google for Devs
Google has released new guidelines for devs to follow which limits access to most of their service. This is in response to the security issue and shut down of Google+ that happened a few days ago.
-Apps will now have to get permission to access most google services separately.
-Gmail API will go through a stricter review process after January 2019, particularly on the grounds of security, fair usage of Google’s APIs, and user data management.
-Apps with access to SMS and phone data will also be reviewed and limited by Google play to avoid misuse of private information.
-Contact API is also affected as Google separates contact interaction data.
